Rebecca Reid is a force to be reckoned with. The London-born, LA-based actress and performer, is perhaps most recognizable from her recurring role as Nadia on the hit FOX comedy “New Girl”. A successful fashion model since her teens, she has appeared in the pages of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Elle magazine, as well as in advertising campaigns for NARS cosmetics and Estée Lauder. Although Rebecca’s secret weapon is not her incredible beauty, it is her impeccable comedic timing – take this ‘McMouse’ scene from “New Girl” which went viral. She performs stand up all over Los Angeles and can often be seen at the Hollywood Improv with performances like this. Currently starring in the Comedy Central sitcom “I Live With Models”, Hollywood is predicting big things for the most beautiful funny woman in the business.
Occupation… Stand up comedienne. Actress.
My style is… It varies between quirky to understated, sometimes a little dramatic. If I had my way, I’d wear a suit daily and draw on a little mustache maybe, but my boyfriend has warned me, he would run a mile.
The most treasured piece in my wardrobe is… A black crepe vintage dress with a HUGE silk black bow on the front. I was so inspired by Hamlet performed at the Old Vic, this was when Ben Wishaw played Hamlet. I went every week and that was the dress I would wear, I’d wear it with Chanel pumps. I was wearing this dress one of these performances, when I realized there was this magical element to acting. And I wanted to make contact with that, as a performer.
I take style inspiration from…Victoria/Victor Blake from the movie Victor Victoria.
My fashion week survival kit… One of my many gorgeous tailored blazers from Requisite Clothing based in Los Angeles, Colbert MD – Illumino Face Oil, pair sunglasses – any pair will do and some sort of gluten free food stuff – for the blood sugar and lip balm (very important) I nicked my boyfriends Carmex.
I Can’t live without…Maison Michel hats.
